Quilt Classes & Events

 This class teaches fundamentals including fabrics, thread, tools, and other aspects of quilting. Fabric for a 5-yard quilt project to complete is included, class sewing machines are provided.

 Give your quilts the beautiful, polished finish they deserve! Join us for an afternoon of hands-on learning as we explore the steps to creating neat, professional-looking quilt binding. From preparing your binding to attaching it and finishing those final edges, you'll learn helpful techniques and tips to make your next quilting project look its very best. Whether you're new to binding or looking to refine your skills, you'll leave feeling more confident and ready to finish your quilts with pride!

Come to one of our favorite classes!

Join the barn quilt movement and bring a touch of country charm to your home, garden, or outdoor space! In this two-day class, Mary will guide you through the process of transforming a simple board into a beautiful, painted quilt block of your own design.

Before class, explore quilt block patterns on Pinterest or Google to find a design you love. We recommend bringing a printed copy sized to 8" × 10" and giving some thought to your color palette. Paints will be provided, although color selections may be limited.

You'll start with a pre-primed board and learn how to draft your design, apply tape for crisp, clean lines, and carefully paint your pattern with attention to detail. By the end of class, you'll have a one-of-a-kind barn quilt measuring approximately 2' × 2'—perfect for displaying on a shed, small outbuilding, or other outdoor structure.

Come ready to get creative, learn new techniques, and make a statement piece that showcases your love of quilting in a whole new way!

Creativity for the Next Generation! 

The art of sewing is a craft worth sharing, and we're excited to help inspire the next generation of sewists! Teen Open Sew at Will N Beez is a welcoming space for young creators under 18 to explore their creativity, develop their sewing skills, and discover the joy of making something with their own hands.

Whether they're just beginning to learn or already have projects in progress, teens can enjoy time to create, experiment, learn from one another, and grow their confidence in a supportive, creative environment. From quilts and handmade gifts to personal projects, there's room for imagination and plenty of possibilities!

By encouraging young people to learn and appreciate the art of sewing, we're helping keep this wonderful tradition alive for years to come.
